Fall Sports Are Winding Down

This was the last week of the regular season for Varsity soccer and the South team ended on a high note with two victories. They won 4-0 on Tuesday night and then a hard-fought 1-0 victory against George Washington on Thursday night. Those two victories ensure they will make the playoffs but playing a high seed team in the first round this coming week.

With a home varsity football game on Saturday, the cheerleaders were out in force. It was nice for the football team to win, it made cheerleading more enjoyable.
Anna has taken on a third cheerleading team for the fall when a spot opened up on a Level 3 team at Cheer Athletics. Now, Anna is on a Level 2 and a Level 3 team at CA as well as South Varsity. It is a lot but she is keeping up with her schoolwork well so we are giving it a shot.

Near the summit of Mt Galbraith looking over Golden and the Coors Brewery

Anna’s Frost Cats cheer team had a team bonding afternoon/evening at our house on Saturday so Jude and I decided to get out for a late afternoon hike. We hiked up Mt. Galbraith, about half an hour from home. It was a gorgeous evening and a fun 4.5-mile hike. There was a bit of excitement near the top where we saw a rattlesnake on the trail. We managed to avoid it and return home safely.
